McConnell Foundations’ Ross Ranch (Harvest Fest)

Shasta College will hold its annual fall showcase and fundraiser, “Harvest Fest”, at The Ross Ranch, 12033 Old Oregon Trail on Saturday, September 28, 2019 starting with tours at 4:00 p.m. “Harvest Fest” is hosted by, and the proceeds directly support students in the Agriculture, Natural Resources, Horticulture and Heavy Equipment Operations programs.

The event kicks off with wagon tours of the college farm starting at 4:00 p.m. leaving from the Ross Ranch, adjacent to the Shasta College Farm. Tours of the Farm will be led by students and feature presentations on what students are learning in the different educational programs. The rest of the festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. under the big tent at Ross Ranch and include delicious, locally grown food, beer & wine, dancing with live music, and a silent and live auction. On the menu again this year is Shasta College raised whole roasted pigs, chickens and locally grown produce.

The proceeds from this event directly benefits students by funding lab projects, logging sports, livestock breeding, farm improvements and equipment purchases, which support student access to quality educational experiences.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

All persons planning on puchasing and consuming alcohol will need to show I.D.

Children are welcome, however there is not a discount on ticket prices.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Taxi service will be available at the event.
